I'm not positive that its GSM, but thats what this program says. I am looking for something that will turn off my ATT medianet connection or edge or 3g or whatever, because I want to cancel my $50 unlimited plan since I will have wifi soon and I plan on just using that, and I'll be in Philly and it has citywide wifi. This free program does the trick, but it is in French, although I can probably make my way around I was wondering if there are any other programs out there that just let me use my wireless and turn everything else off?
Oh, and if I do turn everything else off will I still receive calls or would I need something like Skype or a wifi enabled phone program to receive and make calls?...Thanks.
There's a post in..i think TIPS that's stickyed that says how to delete what u want to keep it just for WiFi. HOWEVER...if you send any MMS (pics or videos) then you may not want to do that. Those are sent through the medinet setting. If you don't send em then you're fine.
yea i dont really send pics or videos so thats no big deal...but using this tip do i have to edit the registry, i was hoping not to do that, just get a program that does this. but phone calls and regular text messages will work fine? and will i be able to receive and MMS because i do get them occasionally i just dont send any.
Registry...NO. Regular text and phone calls...YES. Will you be able to RECEIVE mms....NO! But if your program you found can block the medianet without deleting it, I would go with that first.
