activesync help

I recently purchased my PPC and have synced it to my PC. It asked me to sync with media player so I followed the instructions. Problem is, it is trying to sync my entire My Music folder which contains 1000's of songs, and I do not want it to do that, I would prefer to pick and choose what to put on the PPC. The instructions for activesync suck. Do I need to remove all of my music so it will stop doing this? Everytime I put my PPC in the cradle it starts doing it all over again. I don't even have a SD card large enough to hold 4 gigs worth of music, I thought the PPC would figure that one out on its own, but it hasn't gotten that far yet. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I realize my question seems noobish but I have read all the info I can but it doesn't help. When I put the PPC into the cradle it immediately starts downloadfing all of my music onto the PPC. I even cut and paste all of my 1000 songs into a folder on my desktop so that the "My Music" section was completely empty, but somehow the PPC started downloading them all over again from the new location.

Can anyone help me out?

Remove Media in the list of items to sync in Activesync. Open AS, click Tools - Options and uncheck Media. Let me know if this helps.

That worked, thank-you, one last question about putting a video onto my PPC. I used xillisoft to convert the movie into a smaller format size. It says to open sync and click Explore, then drag and drop items onto the MY DOCUMENTS folder of your PPC. I've tried that but it says the file is to large. So I tried drag and drop onto my SD card folder beside, it works ,but the movie is not on my SD card when I look through its contents from within my PPC. The SD card(1 gig) is the only thing big enough to hold such a file, but the file is only viewable when I pull the card and put it into my PC's card reader. I don't know what else to do because the HP instructions are lame and only briefly explain anything, if at all.

Try accessing the file through Windows Media player.
