I was synching my 8525 with my PC (OUTLOOK) all was OK until i changed my email address (no longer work at the company). Now i created another email account in my desktop OUTLOOK but when i dock my 8525 it that i need a new synchronization (relationship with my PC) and that in order to do that i need to delete the current one. Sounds easy except for the fact that it will erase all my contacts on my 8525. And i do not have a backup on my desktop.
I have created new partnerships before in outlook and when I did the new partnership outlook asked me how I wanted to deal with the information. I would just click "replace computer with phone data" and then all the 8525 contacts, notes an things would be put on the new partnership....hope that helps?
I finally was able to fix the problem...had to uninstall Activesync 4.5.
The problem is not with OUTLOOK but with Activesync.
You have to give credit for MICROSOFT for having developed such an important software to work with their Windows Mobile to be lacking in features and not to mention full of bugs.
In the year 2007 i find it funny that to fix my problem i have to uninstall a piece of software where a simple option would have done the trick.
Congrats MICROSOFT for reminding us that we live in a FAR from perfect world.
