I was trying to download from the net some free and trial softwares for my pocket pc htc P3600 , i found out that only cab files were being installed successfully while other software form gave me an error reading that this is not a valid pocket pc application, do i understand that i need only cab file programs to work on my ppc or any wrong in my way of installation , i just dont know the difference
I appreciate very much your support knowing that most of the nice programs i needed didnt have a cab file version
To install most .exe files, connect your device to your desktop PC and establish an ActiveSync session. Run the .exe file on the desktop host and the installation to your device will take place over the ActiveSync conduit.
A .cab file you can download directly to your device or copy it over from a desktop PC. To run that installation, just use your device's file explorer to find it and run it to carry out the installation.
