ClearVue PDF Sucks!

I have an 8525, which is WM5, and it came with ClearVuew, which is horrible. It has to redraw the screen with each scroll or soom. I prefer Adobe, and I can get 2.0 to work without a problem. However, ClearVue still launches as the associated viewer. I even downloaded PocketTweak and it says that Adobe is my associated viewer, yet when I click on file in Explorer, ClearVue opens. Now, Adobe does work when viewing files via PIE. Can someone please tell me how to disable or remove ClearVue?

must be... I cannot find a clearvue.exe (or similar) file in my 8525. I agree, clearvue sucks, but I haven't figured out how to get rid of it either...

Ahh... Silly me... The executable is at: \Windows\WTCVPdfV.exe - I suppose you could delete it and then try to launch from the PDF and see if it gives you the option to re-associate the file type...

Ok this is a little tough bear with me and I will do my best. First the program is built into the rom so there is no way you can remove it. Now I have installed Adobe before with a rom that had clear view on it and I cant recall but I thought there was a way to asign it as the default pdf viewer. If not the only way to remove it is to rerom you phone.

This takes a little know how but if you can read though a few threads you can manage. I have just started a thread to sim unlock and cid unlock your device which is the first step also I included some links to different threads so that you can see what all is needed to rerom your phone. After cid unlocking your phone the first thing you will want to do is hard spl the device. Then after that feel free to download what ever hermes rom you would like and install it. Just make sure its a Hermes aka 8525 rom as you will more than likely brick the phone if you dont. Also in my signature is the links to the rom and hard spl I am using and heres a link to the thread I started.

Hope this helped feel free to ask me any questions Im still new to this forum but I would like to help as many people as I can. Lots of people have helped me over the years and Im just trying to pay it forward.
