I just bought a used hp ipaq h4300 from a business, and now it is driving me crazy. It is totally configured all sorts of crazy, and I cannot figure anything out. I want to delete everything from its memory and start over, but I don't know how. I would be interested in just erasing everything, but then I know the os would be gone, and I can't find it anywhere. Any suggestions?
Do a hard reset. This wipes the volatile memory (RAM) and returns the device to as close to 'out of box' condition as you can get. You will not lose the OS, but apps, documents, and settings will be erased and you will need to go through the setup routine when it restarts. Anything in the safe store memory area will also be retained and you will need to delete things there using a file manager.
