Help with email 8125

Hello,

I just got my 8125 yesterday and I installed all the software and synced with my laptop. I have a email setup through outlook but I am unable to recive it on my 8125 is there a setup I need to do on my device?

I need more info on the email account. Is it an exchange based email or a pop3 account?

Sorry it is a pop3 account

The default Indox on your 8125 can only sync with the default inbox of your primary ActiveSync partnership. It cannot actively send or receive mail. To use the POP3 account directly from your 8125, you will need to set up a second inbox account that has the appropriate settings. These should be available from your email service.

Also a quick hint. Once you setup your email make sure your outgoing mail server is cwmx.com. This is the setup for cingular.

I am only using the wifi not there service.

You should just be able to put in the email address under a new account and it should import all the pop3 settings for you.

I can't remember if that phone offers direct push technology so you may need to update it.

if you create a pop3 account.. how do you delete it?
