What would be the top 3 software packages you would buy for your 8525?Just wondering what everyone using. Feel free to throw in those proggies that arn't worth fooling with .
Bejeweled. It was the first download I made. I had it on my palm, and when I made the switch to PPC, couldn't give it up. (I also have some work related apps, in case you think I am a total flake for recommending a game.)
I am considering SPB Pocketplus, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
You can download both as trial versions and see what works for you. You have 15 days to decide. I just downloaded SPB Pocketplus and am trying to figure it out.
Also, the very highly touted and frequently downloaded "Magic Button" made my 8525 freeze up. I removed it, and everything works normal again.
The second program I'd install if I were you is the hack of the PTT button on the 8525. As of this writing, Cingular doesn't support it, so it is an otherwise useless button. If push-to-talk is important and you think Cingular will offer it in the future, then pass on this hack. Otherwise, it works great on my 8525. The hack re-maps the PTT button to anything you want, but the default is the voice-dialer.
read the directions for the hack, and remember to do a soft reset before using it for the first time.
Also, you need to register with the XDA site, but it is free to register and to download. Cingular ROM users: PTT function hacked! - xda-developers
Thats a good start. Im looking at voice command, figured it would be top three.I think Ill try some of the free trails like you guys mentioned . Thanks fergy
