Hi all,
just got myself a new 8125 with Cingular and i'm looking at installing new software already. Ideally I would like to install a new skin and although I have found and downloaed some great skins I have no idea on how to go about installing them. I am pretty used to installing software and applications but after unzipping this particular zip file for a skin it contains a few files and plenty of image files. I have searched via Google for tutorials but have come up blank, can anyone guide me in the right direction please ?
Also, one little issue, when I connect to the net to surf I have no idea on how to disconnect from it. Closing Windows Explorer does'nt close the connection itself so I have to shut down the phone itsefl just to disconnect. I am sure there must be a simpler way to do this, any help is greatly appreciated.
Hello VegaLA, I too have the 8125. I believe if you just unzip the files into the my documents folder it should work, but I am not 100% sure. As for the closing the connection when you are done using IE just hit the comm manager button on the left side over the slider. The icon with the phone with 2 arrows next to it is your connection. just tap it and it should turn off. Hope it helps!
For installing new themes, put .tsk files in pocketplus folder. Also, windows mobile does not close application only by clicking 'x' option. It only minimises the application at back ground. To close it , you go to memory folder in settings. Here click on running programs and close the application.It wud be better if you install SPB software in ur device . Tht will ease ur life.
To install a new theme, you need to copy a .tsk file to any location on your device. It will appear in the appearance tab where you can select and apply it.
