I have had great success with Pocket Quicken. Its a bit pricy ($39), but very worth it especially if you have a PC version of Quicken. Because you can synch the two. There is a thirty day trial if you want to try it out first.

When you balance the books on your PC you can synch all accounts to the PPC and then use that as your check register. When you hook back up with your computer, it takes all of your PPC items and enters them in to the PC, or if you use online banking matches them up during reconcile. Pretty neat actually.

I've been using Cash Organiser from Inesoft for 3 years now, as a standalone application on PPC.
Probably the best money package I've used on any PDA in the last 20 years !

I use SPB Finance and it also syncs with my Microsoft Money which is really great. I find it really useful.
