Since I paid so much for this pocket pc cell phone I am trying to juice it up and make it worth what it was bought for. There are several programs I have been trying to get on it, but have not done so. I am looking for the following programs (if free even better):
1.Remote control for TV/anything basically like the pay ones I've seen say they do.
2.Emulators-I already got SNES working, thank you, but where do I get games/roms, I found a few sites but could not get them working.
3.Mozilla Firefox-if its able on a Windows Mobile 5 I havent found it but maybe its out there.
4.Windows Media Player codec to play MP3s and videos like AVI, MPEG, ASX, etc. or do I have to get a whole new program.
5. Games, games, games-all games, sports, strategy, trivia, etc. The games I have tried from this site have not worked, I only tried a few.
6.MOST IMPORTANT-after seeing orb.com i want to play live tv(actually live like you see on your tv) on my cingular 8525, its on youtube and been done. Is there tv tuner software for a pda? Then you could use orb and watch live tv on your baby for free...(well not really cuz you pay 40 bucks for unlimited data usage so might as well pay for it.)
As of right now thats all I can think of to pimp my cell but there will be more, and when I find them I will post them because I am sure others wnat these, just like a few of the ones above.
Well since no one seems to want to help if anyone is interested I found a tv remote, havent gotten it to work yet tho altho it shows up i just have to configure it with my tv.
But has anyone got live tv on their pc yet? thats all i reeeeeeeeeally want.
on your 8525 there should be a preinstalled program called mobiltv. i got it for 9.99 a month and it give s quite a few channels. they play ok but lag here and there, unless ur connected to a wifi spot ,like my room but even then the battery gets eaten quickly.
but when i already spend 40 a month for the unlimited pda data plan i kinda dont want to pay extra for other stuff. has anyone gotten orb to work on their pda or do you need a tv tuner on your laptop...or can you get tv tuner software for your pda or computer...anyone know if theres such a thing
oh and as for wolfenstein 3d...can anyone get that workign right on their wm5...cuz that game was sweet and i want it but its all wierd and off cuz its not made for wm5. also if anyone has a sega or xbox emulator cuz i want tecmo from sega and whatever games from xbox...
wolfenstien works but it doesnt, the picture mode in full screen or w/e size is messed up. doesnt work on my 8525. so far i got mobiltv. which is 9.99. and i got resco radio. which is free internet radio, which is pretty sweet. im trying to get the windows mobile leak to work.
yea the wolfenstein is off center for me too. just about every game has some glitches cuz they werent made for wm5. but oh well they still mostly work.
do you have the unlimited data plan...cuz if i cancel that and get mobitv, wouldnt that be using data, which i would pay out the butt for if i didnt have an unlimited plan...so if i get mobitv i have to have the unlimited plan. which means just for me to have unlimited data, tv and texts would cost me 60 bucks, while for the rest of my fam it only costs them that much altogether cuz they just have razrs
