I'm assuming you got the .CAB installation file from here. If you're on your desktop/laptop computer you will have to transfer the .CAB file from your computer to your 8125 via ActiveSync. Execute the .CAB install file on your 8125, not your computer. Hope this helps!

When I said transfer the .CAB file, I mean the entire .CAB file as a whole. Don't transfer the files inside the .CAB individually. There is no need to open the .CAB file. Transfer the .CAB file from your computer to your 8125 via ActiveSync, once you've done that go to your device and use file explorer to find the .CAB file. Simply tap on the .CAB file and it will begin installing Google Maps to your device.

Copy the cab file, paste it onto you storage card, then use file explorer to open the file and initiate the install.

Open the AcfiveSync window and click Explore, which opens an Explorer window of your device. At first, it will probably show a list of the My Documents folder with your device at the top. Double-click the device name and you will see a display of the device's root directory, including storage cards. You can copy and pasie from your PC desktop into this directory display.
