I have an 8125 and use if as my alarm clock. Lately the alarm will go off as set but on the bottom menue bar I no longer have the ability to snooze or dismiss the alarm. The bottom bar stays with Calendar on one side and Contacts on the other side.
Anyone seen this before and know how I can fix it?
I'm not sure if the following will help but it's worth a try. This solutions works if you're having an issue with Pocket Internet Explorer, but it's known to have fixed other problems as well. In the Windows folder there is a file called Welcome.exe. Running this file is like doing a hard reset without losing data. You might want to give this a try. Let me if it works.
If I do a hard reset I know I'll loose my data but do I also loose any programs I've down loaded? Also when I re-sync with outlook will it automatically update my outlook on the phone or will it wipe out my outlook on my PC?
A hard reset returns your device to as near out-of-box condition as possible. If you have installed apps to a storage card, they will still be there but all associated registry entries will be gone. Any documents on the memory card will also still be there. But recovering use of user-added apps typically requires a reinstall so all registry entries and files placed in on-board memory locations are made.
Usually the initial sync will make the host Outlook the control data set, so it is the device that typically ends up with overwrite issues. Just make sure that you have your desktop Outlook set so that deleted items are held in the deleted items folder so you can recover anything that is mistakenly removed in the sync process.
Yankeejeep is right. Are you using the default Calendar or a third party solution? When did you start experiencing this behaviour? Made any changes to your device lately?

------------------------ Pocket PC Mauritius
I'm using the Window's default theme with a picture of my daughter as the back ground. The problem started out of the blue. I hadn't loaded anything new to the phone. I did add a memory card.
hey blacksheep and others,
i am having problems with my 8125 that seemingly started *out of the blue*......... well, it might have started after i plugged in a new 2gb memory stick. the only new thing i did was start up the "xpress mail settings" and try (unsuccessfully) to hook up my yahoo mail.
ever since, i cannot use the pocketpc properly. if i turn it on i get an error message saying "Cannot execute repllog.exe" and so on....
I can use the phone part, but the pocketpc is completely frozen.......
I tried re-starting the phone a few times...didnt really work. Should I freeze it and wait for it to thaw..... ???
