HTC Wizard- wifi ok WLAN, nothing for internet

using t-mob latest rom 2.26.10.2 wwe

hi all, I cannot browse the web when conned to my wireless router

wired linksys with wireless dlink di-524 connected (upgraded firmware) i think i recall getting to the internet with wifi before but then suddenly i would not get an IP from wifi. then i flashed wifi router and setup static IP via the wizard using mac on pda.

get an IP really quick now but no web browsing as i get no DNS servers error in netfront- IE just hangs. to top it off i cannot get anything by IP.

i'm thinking a setting on the router but can't figure it out. i have not changed any connection settings but have tweaked with sktools but i think it worked before that.

GPRS works fine but i'm so over gprs, need tmob's edge if it really exists...

I know that if you network settings are using MEdiaNet, that you have to uncheck the "use proxy" setting
