Whenever I try installing a program on my O2 Xda Mini S, the following message appears:
Application Manager cannot install this application on your mobile device due to an invalid setup file. Reinstall and try again.
I do follow the correct procedure when installing: download the .exe file, connect the mobile device to the PC (which activates ActiveSync), then run the .exe file. But the message appears even when downloading freeware such as Airscanner Mobile Antivirus.
However, when I download a CAB file and use Explorer to transfer it to the phone, then run the CAB file, installation is successful. But not all programs have a CAB version available.
I performed a hard reset, but the problem remains. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
