Can someoone point me towards a good piece of wifi software like a sniffer. I am an IT manager and I have to test our diferent WiFi connections. I would love to just cary my phone instead of equipment. I tried WiFifofum2 but the results are all overe the place. For example I stood equal distances between three of my ADp's each with differnt ssid's and their locations were jumping infront, behind, left , and right. Not nuch chance of chasing down a signal if you can't tell where it is comming from.... I also tried ministumbler but My device is not compatible and the prog hasn't been updated in over a year. I then tried Wifigraph0.3RC3.msi But I got a no driver for my device.
Can anyone point me to a piece of software? free or not.
I didn't see Kasuei's Hitchhiker mentioned - some people have had good results with it. (I never got any of the programs, even the ones you mentioned, to work with my i730...)
It does require .net compact framework, though. (There's a link to it in the page above.)
I dloaded that one to. I loaded .net compact framework 2.0. It does seem to work but it seems more for connectivity and not for monitoring/ troubleshooting.
Um...what about CommView? Pretty pricey, but they do have an evaluation version.
Have you seen this beast? I caught a glimpse of it at my workplace, and it looks very comprehensive, for lack of a better word. It is not PPC-related...but it's pretty cool
