GPRS Problem

Recently I had this problem that my GPRS is connecting automatically from my imate device. I dont know what is the solution? If it is connected, I cannot disconnet unless I switch off my phone.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Did you install something or change a system setting somewhere?

By switching off, you mean soft resetting right? Or just simply powering down to standby?

Thanks Brian & JIMNOLAND.
I thinks there was a problem in setting of my activesync of the device caused by installing new programmes. I changed the settings and it has stopped automatically.
Thanks once again for your deep concern.

Hi. I have the same problem. Can you please post what you changed in activesync that fixed your problem so that I may try it? Thanks very much.

This is usually a situation related to Mobile Schedule being activated in ActiveSync on your device. Check AS on your device; both Mobile Schedule options should be set to Manual to prevent AS from automatically launching at a preset interval and attempting to connect to the designated AS host.

Hhrwitz,
Use the forum Search for ActiveSync.
Recently YankeeJeep posted a workaround for my 8525 as discovered by Jane that allows setting ActiveSync scheduling to MANUAL mode.
It worked for several of us (with different machines). You might give it a try.
