Windows Media Player Library problems

New to WM5 software. Just got a 8525 (very first Pocket PC device) , and having difficulty with "update library" function on windows media player. I have 150 mp3's on a 2gb micro sd, which the software is able to find, read, but not add to library? I mentioned this to cingular which then exchanged my phone for another brand new one, same problem? Is this something inherent with WMP? Am I relegated to use a second party media player to create playlists? Input appreciated...

I have no experience with WMP for PPC, have you tried Core media player? It's a favorite amongst ppc users...

Although, I just tried an "update library" and it worked for me...it just took a really long time...

Here's a link to Core media player: linky
