o2 xda mini problems

hi, need help on my xda mini. i got it from a friend who died. unfortunately, he incorporated their family picture in the O2 startup logo. even if i do a hard reset, the picture is still there. this is not the wallpaper which can be easily changed but the start up logo of O2.

i am trying to use the awizard. when i run the rapi or the unlock cid, i get a message that the cert-spcs.cab file is not a valid window ce setup file.
what do i do? thanks.

are you running awizard.cmd on your desktop computer and not the device?

and is the device connected via activesync?
