Messaging (email) over Wifi?

Hello all,

I've got an O2 XDA Mini S with Windows Mobile 5 installed. I have wifi on the phone and I've confirmed this works correctly as I'm able to browse sites using Internet Explorer and Opera on the phone. I've set up email on the Messaging application, to use my IMAP account however whenever I try to do a send/receive, it tries to connect using GPRS rather than Wifi and I can't find an option anywhere to connect via Wifi. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Welly

Have you tried it with activesync? If it still tries to connect through GPRS when on activesync for the IMAP account.

Check this out also. A clear guide for setting IMAP account on WM5. Windows Mobile 5 E-mail Setup Guide Check step 9 especially... It really depends on what you have mentioned there.
