Pocket PC owner and i'm having a serious problem getting software that works correctly. the adobe download definitely dosen't work, all that gives you is a page full of B.S. script... I really need some help, please send help!!!!
What browser are you using? I accessed the link with NetFront and clicked to download the cab file, it did bring up a code page. But when I did a tap-and-hold, then selected to save the link target, the cab file downloaded without a problem.
You might check the most recent Minimo beta release to see if 'save as' function is available. Like the other Mozilla browsers, Minimo is freeware. I also think that the free version of Webby Mobile has 'save link as file' function (the latest version is 2.6).
The free version of Webby Mobile 2.6 does support saving a link as a file, though not using tap-and-hold. With the web page displayed, select Save to File... on the View menu and follow the instructions in the pop-up boxes. Not totally intuitive but it works. Webby requires .Net CF version 2, which should be included in WM5, must be installed on WM2003.
PIE attempts to open all links as web pages, which is why you see a jumble when you click to download the cab file. The file contents are being displayed as far as PIE can interpret it. Webby gives you the option to intercept this command and save to a file. You would think the PIE design would have included this function but it doesn't.
