I'm Ignorant...GPRS...Media Net...Edge

Well I've been sifting through the loads of info on this site trying to learn about my new cingular 8125. I've learned a lot but when it comes to the unlimited internet package I pay for I don't know anything. I mean it works but what are the differences between these terms I read so often.

GPRS
Media Net
Edge

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Aaron

Media net - is cingulars data service, its just a name.

GPRS - General Packet Radio Service - this is the actual name of the technology used to send and recieve data

EDGE - Enhanced Data rates for GSM evolution - its just a faster GPRS technology.

Hope that helps.

So, does my IPAQ need a GPS receiver for acting as a GPS? Or is one built in?

I just can't figure it out!
