windows firewall blocking pda

I’m connecting to my pc via my pda from the file explorer on the pda

\\nameofmyserver

but windows firewall blocks me ( how do I put an exemption in)

*** if I turn the firewall of I can connect. but I need the firewall on.

How do you connect your PDA to your computer? You might want to start by going to control panel / windows firewall / exceptions tab / see if there are any programs that the PDA and the computer share that is not checked off.

I connect via WiFi ad-hoc.

and i transfer ffiles via file mamanger on the pda to a shared folder on the pc (via usernmae password on the pc) \\mycomputername
