I'm wondering...if I have a shortcut (let's say to a website), how can I place it on my desktop (Today Screen)? It's not as easy as a desktop shortcut on the computer...all you have to do is right click and choose 'send to desktop (create shortcut)'.
Can anyone give me any input regarding this? I know you can customize your Today Screen by checking or unchecking the programs you want on it but I'd like a way to further customize it. I have a few commonly used websites and would like to be able to just click them from either the today screen or program group.
I tried it - not what I needed unfortunately. I specifically want to be able to place shortcuts to a few of my internet explorer favorite sites on the today screen so I can get to them in 'one click'...thanks anyway though!! I appreciate your input.
Hi, Sherry, With SPB Plus, in Settings for the Today plugin, in one of the tabs (I suggest the Connections tab, since it's usually relatively empty) you can add a "custom" item which can be an URL from the "favorites" folder in the Windows main folder...
The most powerful Today plug-in with tabs. Close button that really closes. ZIP support in File Explorer. And many other features missing in official OS updates in one product.
Honestly, it is a really good program, even if it does cost some $$$... but members of this forum get a discount!
If I recall correctly, we have a trial period to check it out...
Thanks - I tried it. Seems extremely 'cumbersome' to me. I'm very computer and 'gadget' literate also but this program was more than I needed for my PPC. I wish there was something more simple...for example, I tried both Wisbar and Wisbar Lite but what I ended up using was Magic Buttom. OMG - simple, easy and FAST! I'm a big advocate of the K.I.S.S. mentality...Keep It Simple Sweetheart in case you and others don't know what that means...lol!!
