I have a Cingular 8125, but this question really is for any WM5 device. Is there a way to control WMP from the today screen? If not is there a music program fully WM5 compatible that does? It would really make unlocking the phone and changing/pausing the song alot easier.
Hi jz9833, welcome to the fourms. To respond to your question, you could try using SPB pocket plus. It is a program that allows you to put shortcuts on your today screen so you don't have to dig to find them. Does that help?

I haven't found any addon that will do that, I would be great if we can control WMP on today screen.
What the others suggesting is to make a shotcutlink to the WMP to lauch at today screen.
There is one Player that i know that have a today plug-in control, its Pocket Player, it's one of the great audio player out there and yes you can pause and continue play directly at today screen.

Yea I tried that program, but it has 2 major flaws at least with the 8125.
1. In the media library it does not list unknown artist names or albums like WMP did. The convince of an easy back button is also missing to help navigate in the library.
2. The music stops when loading a big web page. This does not happen with WMP. PHM Pocket PC Plus! seems to have a plugin that works with WMP 9, but the library feature isnt as good.
