I have the program running and configured but I have to be within a foot of the tv receiver to be able to use it. Anyway to be able to boost the signal? It's such a neat program, sadly I can't use it very far away.
I've tried it with other devices. I broke out the measuring tape and got 4 feet 3 inches from about all of them (tv, satellite, Home theatre). It's a great program, I just wish I could use it further away. With the short distance I won't be upgrading when the trial runs out.
as the distance increases, you have to be more and more precise about where you aim your IR port. i've gotten as far as about 6 feet and a few inches. i wish there was a method to increase the ir signal strength, but i'm not aware of anything. i believe it's more of a hardware limitation.
