First I gotta say, this friggin thing is confusing. I have the Cingular 8215, and after getting alll the bugs worked out with email, for now atleast, I am trying to download some programs and utilities. First being the Magic Button so that I dont have to keep going to running programs, and ending them lik that. But everything I have downloaded except for a theme, I get a error message saying "magicbutton.exe is not a valid PocketPC application. I am synced with the phone and I click explore on the activesync program, and I go to windows mobile based device, then my documents and just click and drag the program to this window. I am extracting the files if it is zipped first. Am I making since? Anyone tell me what I am doing wrong.
And once I get this solved I have many more questions that have been partially answered via a search on this site, but not completely.
I apologize for the tardyness of this answer... and I hope it helps. So to me it seems like you're trying to install an .exe file from your pocket pc... when in fact you have to install from your desktop. Try double-clicking the .exe file on your desktop and it should start installing.
For future reference... when installing with .cab files you have to install it from your pocketpc, the way you tried to install magic button. Let us know if this resolves your problem.
