gday guys, despite having my o2 for a year now im new to net forums for it. ive been getting some video files in mp4 and 3gp format and converted some on my home pc to the above formats and whenever i try and open the album program the ppc freezes and the only way to fix it is a soft reset. even the preinstalled dogbark doesnt work. anyone have any ideas?

Welcome to Pocket PC Addict millsy, that's off that the device is crashing... have you tried to use TCPMP as your default media player? i'd also make sure that you have enough memory to run applications on your Pocket PC. Let us know!
ive transferred some of the vids to the hard drive on the pda instead of the storage card and it seems to work, how much memoery do i need to have dedicated to programs if its playing vids from the storage card? my games and applications work on the storage card so y not the vids?
Well, TCPMP would be the best option for you I guess. The Core Pocket Media Player - About TCPMP I am no expert in such issues but when I had such prob with my Mini I just used TCPMP and it worked.
Yes -millsy-, it will play those files... but I am not completly sure on how to set it as your main media player. Have you installed it and tried it yet?
