oprah web browser

is there a way to install oprah on my 8125 without using midlet manager..I tried to install and I hate how I have to always go to midlet manager to run program..

well... i'm going to first assume you want opera as a web browser and not the queen of day-time talk shows.

you download it here: Opera for Windows Mobile Pocket PC

then you download it for windows mobile 5, choose either the CAB or MSI installer for ARM devices (i tend to use the MSI installers through activesync), then you should be fine. mind you, the Opera browser isn't free. at least, that i'm aware of. the one you download is a trial version. which is why i use Minimo.

yep. minimo itself takes up 8 MB of precious storage space. i try to put all the things i install on the storage card.

does it lag on urs..for some reason it lags for me..i have it installed on my storage device too..

it takes a good half a minute to get started, but thats not too bad. on my boss' treo 700w, it takes almost 2 minutes or so. and it brutally slow even once it gets going. after it finally starts up on the 8125, it's not that bad.

I liked Opera for WM5 a lot even though you have to pay after the trial. Now Minimo made very sad, I use Firefox and Thunderbird all the time, but minimo constantly crashed my PPC6700
Since memory is so precious I install Opera on my storage card and it worked fine, even though progs from the card do run alittle slower.
