Pocket Plus is defiantly a good tool to have

Not for sure if it's different for each phone but the 8125 had nothing but the basics on the front screen (Time - Owner - Messages - appointments and the lock feature) well I've only had pocket plus installed on my first pocket pc for a few days now... But Pocket plus is beautiful because it pretty much brings your windows start bar alive, right on your today screen by adding 3 tabs ( Main - Connect - System ) Which you can customize to your liking. Although im sure there are many other wonderful features that im missing those are the pros and I haven’t found any cons as of yet… Another good program is the spb weather I bought both of them just from the reviews I found on these forums. spb weather is nice you can add multiple cities and it adds the weather right on your today screen and what ever day you click you can get detailed information through out the day.. Hope this helps a little

Good pointers jonperezinsd. Just an addition: if you tap and hold the X another menu will come up with more options and if you "gesture" down (as in sliding your stylus down) on the X you can still minimize it! It is definetly a great tool! Support Pocket PC Addict and get Spb Pocket Plus with a discount here!

It's recommended that you install it at main memory, there are some issues about it when its resident at the expansion cards.

Nope, shouldn't be a problem as they do mostly different things. I'd recommend doing the tweaks of tweaks2k2 first then installing Spb Pocket Plus...

I second that. I've notice that any program that does anything to the system should be left on Main Memory.

Thumbs up

Hi all been awhile since I posted, but back now, been using SPB Pocket Plus since I had my iPaq 1710 and then my HTC Harrier (PPC-6600) and now on my HTC Apache (PPC-6700) just love it. Great things is you can put most if not all of SPB products in a tab of its own in Pocket Plus.

Currently Use:

SPB Pocket Plus (v3.1.2) - main memory
SPB Diary (v2.0.0, build 2752), - main memory
SPB Finance (v2.5.1, build 2117) - mini-SD Card [1GB]
SPB Backup (v1.5.0, build 2421) - mini-SD Card [1GB]

Yeah really like the work SPB does....

Not really, but the only reason i say that is because Tweaks2k2 messes with your registry directly. Spb Pocket Plus is more of like an add-on. It should be fine, but its kinda like changing your tires before you change your rims. Does that make sorta sense? I might be babbling. But no, you're fine.

Spb Pocket Plus comes with 40+ themes and switch icon to loop easily between them. This can be one of these themes.

Hi 3ntity

The theme is via Wisbar Advance and it is Xcillions Windows Portable Vista QVGA (he does have VGA version) and it is FREE, Phonealarm skin is pVista which you can find at Pocketmax on their Forums. The background is the Black&White tsk from Juni's Black & White theme (which I have) also with SPB Pocket Plus & Diary.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Jace

I have it and it is a great program, as it seems everyone else who has it here likes it too. It runs great with XCPUScalar that have too. I also use/like spb backup, but... I quit using SPB weather because it was always at least 20 degrees off where I live! It was funny it was like 98 degrees here one day and I was like "man it's hot for 72!" Then I was talkin to someone that said "it's about 95 today." So I said, "no it's only 72!" Then I was in deep thought for about 5 seconds, "wait a minute!"

Hey zeypxun, I agree about SPB Weather, I live in New Zealand and the temp was 5 - 10oC out either side, so don't use it, I even tried to download another weather source but no still did not work.

I have a full review of Pocket Plus 3.1 at MobileTechReview. I've had no problems with version 3.1 and up.
