8125 not booting

So I picked it from the dealer today. Charged it for 2 hours. Power button does nothing. I cannot power it down (even after holding the button for 5 seconds), and it does not power up. It just sits in sleep mode. I did a soft reboot with the stylus, and the screen illuminates with the cingular loge and the os, ip and the stats. Beyond that I cannot get it out of sleep mode. I reseated the battery and sim card to no avail. It just sits there in sleep mode. Please tell me I am doing something wrong. I read the entire .pdf manual and I still cannot figure out what is wrong.

magi115, my guess is that you have a defective unit. Since you are still within the return policy, I'd get it exchanged for a working one ASAP!

That i would have to say is just pure bad luck...Out of how many phones that you could have gotten it sounds like you did get the bad one of the bunch...and like Tim said..replace it ASAP since lockline will not insure the 8125
