Welcome to Pocket PC Addict dimostz! Before I can help you with this, I want to ask you first why you need COM Ports (since by default it should sync with USB). Let us know!
hello and thanks for your time.i used to sync by bluetooth and choose from com1,com2, .....now i do sync by usb. but i want to sync by bluetooth.and no com, but com1, only!!!install and reinstall and uninstall ac but the same....how can i add the usual comports that in the first install had my activesync?
thanx (hope my bad english-i am from greece- make you lough
I think I understand what you are trying to do. Let me see if I have this right: You used to sync with Bluetooth, but now that you can't sync with Bluetooth (for some reason), so you have resorted to syncing via USB, but now you want to sync with Bluetooth again (what a mouthful!). Is that correct? If that is the case you might have to setup the Serial Port Service again in Windows. This will open up a "virtual" COM port so that Bluetooth can talk through that.
Your iPAQ 2490 should have a Bluetooth ActiveSync wizard. If not, I suggest that you open up your Bluetooth manager on your PC, search for your PDA (making sure that it is set to discoverable), and then when it asks you to setup available Bluetooth services, make sure Serial Port or ActiveSync is selected. That should do the trick.
