hey guys newbie here how do you create themes for the xda mini is there software you can download

You can use Spb Extended Theme Generator to create themes. Check it out here. Let me know if that helps.

I would recommend ThemeGenCE though. It's the best free theme generator out there. It supports QVGA/VGA/Square themes as well as WM5 themes. In short, it gives alot of freedom and it is able to create most types of Pocket PC Themes.

However, I still think Microsoft Theme Generator is very easy to use and you can create themes using it very quickly. The themes created don't support landscape mode and the start menu text is also default white in WM2003/WM2003SE.

Another great tool would be ThemeMaker M or ThemeMaker X (more advanced version with image editing functions). It's a shareware though, but a good one.

Great recommendations vicott! ThemeGenCE is definetely a great alternative.
