I've been scouring the forums for hours and trying different methods to try and unlock the device to go from the German version to the English version operating system.
I tried using Lokiwiz02b but it just kept giving me an ITWriteDisk error. Then I tried using Wizard_RomUpgradeUtility_noID.rar on the standard O2 updates provided from their O2.uk site, but that wasn't working either.
Does anyone have a way that you know works to get the OS to be in English and not German?
Have you tried to simply update the rom to the WWE version? This is just a quick guess so I'm not too sure, I'm leaving the office so I'll let you know soon if there is another route.
Yeah, i tried that. It says there's an error in terms of version types or it's the wrong language thing. Basically, O2 tries to keep you from changing the language on purpose in order to keep you in their contracts. . .
Does anyone have the asian version for the mini Rom upgrade? That which is not shipped or packaged as an application? My unit's a german version too & the availbale upgrades I've tried are from different countries
You should be able to download the O2 XDA II mini ROM update for ASIA here. No guarantees if it will work with the German version as jeffersonkim has stated.
