I've been trying to upload some word documents from PC on to the XDA mini S and the files arn'tr working. Im also having trouble with Adobe Acrobat files they open up ok but when you try and browse them the page freezes up.
Can anyone one give us some ideas on what to do because i've got a lot of work related stuff i want to put on the XDA and some of its in word on the PC
A few questions to help you out: How are you sending your files to the XDA? Through ActiveSync or just on the memory card? What errors are you receiving when trying to open up the office files? Also, what version of Adobe Acrobat reader are you using? Have you tried other pdf files? I'm guessing that if the pdf file is rather large and you have a bunch of programs open, it might be the cause of the freezing up.
I send the files using active sync on to the storage card, im using adobe 4.0 version. when i put m/s word documents on there and then open them up on the XDA it opens up with no text but with a little box in the corner with a few coloured shapes in.
Do you notice if the files convert when you transfer them over to your storage card? Also do you have Adobe Acrobat Reader 2.0 installed on your Pocket PC? You can get it here.
