Welcome to Pocket PC Addict andyk09! What you need to get GPS running is a bluetooth GPS adapter and mapping software. Mapopolis is a good place to start as they have maps and GPS solutions for Pocket PC.

Does it work by satalite or is it a programe that goes on the computer then you find the location you want and just download that route on to your phone?

Yes route 66 does work on XDA mini S, O2 sells the phone with it included. It works by using BT GPS reciever.
