I am looking for a means of using my PPC to control my Mac Mini.
I have used the Terminal Services available in XP windows environment to get the PPC to act as a terminal for the Micrsoft system through the USB port but cannot do the same thing with the Mac OS X.
I have dabbled with VNC for the Windows CE operating system on the PPC but I don't think this works through the USB port.
My aim is to use the Mac as a lightweight data store and file handler when I travel so I can leave the laptop at home. The Mac is about half the weight of a laptop but does not have the screen or keyboard so I would like the PPC to serve this purpose.
All ideas welcome!

I don't think there is a direct way to go about controlling your Mac Mini via your Pocket PC via USB since *officially* the Mac doesn't support a Pocket PC out of the box. I would suggest using WiFi, but since you are out and about with the mini I'm not sure if you want to do this. You could take a travel WiFi router or an AirPort Express along with you during your travel and connect with VNC this way. Let me know what you think.

I would prefer to use direct cable connection to keep it simple rather than going to another communication layer.
I tested the PocketMac software and it works very well using USB but this only provides a file sync capability. So there are ways to communicate between Mac and Pocket PC. I just want to extend this to being able to control the Mac from the PPC.

As I said before there are ways to connect and sync with your Mac, but its just not *official*
