Press Release: Phatware announced today the new major version of PhatPad 3.0 - its award-winning notes organizer for Microsoft Windows-based devices, Tablet, and Desktop PCs. PhatPad 3.0 allows users to draw pictures, write text and create animation on a virtual scratch pad. The program uses new digital ink technology, which provides a very smooth ink flow, so it feels like youre writing on a piece of paper.
The new version of PhatPad has many great new features, including:
* Pocket PC Today screen add-on that allows instant access to PhatPad and its recently changed documents.
* Two-dimensional document manager for Pocket PC devices.
* Ability to add voice notes to PhatPad documents
* Page preview window
* Improved digital inking on Pocket and Tablet PCs
* Integration with Tablet PC handwriting recognition software
* Multiple customizable toolbars on Pocket and Tablet PCs
* Customizable ink, page, and grid colors.
* Windows Mobile 5.0 Support
"Overall, the improvements and additions in PhatPad 3.0 make it an outstanding application. For those who are already PhatPad owners, this upgrade will add a lot of new functionality and improvements. For new owners, this is the version to get as it is hard to see how PhatWare can improve this application."
It works with a desktop app. I never use the desktop app though. Actually, I prefer Phatnotes to Phatpad. But my son likes making cartoons with Phatpad, so I keep it loaded for him.
