Saving Calendar/Messages/Contacts Into Storage Card Memory

I've recently lost my O2 XDA IIs and had to downgrade to an O2 XDA II Mini, which as most of you know has only 64MB (57.41MB, really) of phone memory.
I've bought myself a 4GB SD card to make up for the decrease in phone memory but it's useless unless I can figure out a way to backup or save my Calendar/Messages/Contacts, etc into the storage card as opposed to the default phone memory.
Is anyone aware of how to do this? Thanks.
P.S. I'm sorry if these are questions that have been asked before. I'm pretty technology-illiterate. Also, does anyone know of a software that will allow me to save ringtones/themes on my storage card? And to use mp3s as ringtones?[/b]

To the best of my knowledge, you cannot store your contacts or calendar on a storage card. Really, unless you have millions, they should not take up too much room on your device anyway.
The good news is that you can set your email attachments to be stored on a storage card. To do so, click to Messaging, then the Tools tab. From there, click on the check box to store attachements on a storage card.
Most programs can be effectively installed onto a storage card. A few, like Pocket Informant and Pocket Plus really have to be installed into the main memory. (If a program does require this, it will tell you should you attempt to install it to a memory card.) It's really programs and attachments that take up the bulk of the room on your device.
You may also want to consider a program like MemMaid, which allows you to clean your device of completed alarms, incomplete registry items, cookies, PIE cache files and the like. This is pretty helpful, regardless of how much memory you have in your device, but is especially helpful when memory is at a premium.

Thanks a lot. I'll definitely try MemMaid out.
