It appears that the quest for a new lightweight browser for Pocket PC continues through the Mozilla Minimo project. One of the forum threads indicated that a .005 version has been released for you to try. Some people might have some problems, but it might be cool to see the work in progress. Download link. Have you tried the new Minimo? What do you think?
I just downloaded and installed minimo, and well... there really isn't much too say yet. Features are non-existant yet, and security needs to be implimented to log into any sites I've tried with user/pass.
It does do a nice job with maxamizing screeen real estate, and pages display well, at least similar too PIE. I would like to see the "one column" approach impliemnted so there is no side-scrolling, but this is a work in progress, so perhaps we will yet.
Overall, it looks promising, can't wait to see some more functionality come to it.
