Resco Photo Viewer Upgraded - includes discount price

Resco writes in to let us know that their Photo Viewer application for Pocket PC has just been updated to version 5.30. They are also offering a 20% discount on it to celebrate the release. I haven't tried Resco's Photo viewer yet, but it appears to focus on the digital photo album aspects that possibly other viewers neglect such as: use multi-selection of thumbnails, print pictures (requires HP Mobile Printing) and work with the desktop album generator.
Resco announces the release of the newest version of their popular Resco Photo Viewer, a device that allows users to view and edit digital photographs easily and quickly. The new version offers numerous improvements in terms of speed and memory.
Resco, a leading provider of end-user mobile applications, today announced the availability of a new version of one of the company's best selling applications, Resco Photo Viewer 5.30.
Resco Photo Viewer version 5.30 is an ideal enhancement product for a digital camera. It allows users to view photographs easily and quickly and to store them in the form of photo albums (which can later be edited and sent to other viewers). The slide show function allows users to present photo albums in a creative manner. Besides allowing users to organize a large number of pictures, it enables copying, cropping and resizing, and offers a plethora of other standard editing functions. Out of the box, it allows customers to add annotations in the form of text, sound or drawings.
The new version offers numerous improvements in terms of speed and memory use optimization. A new feature of the product is the ActiveSync filter, which allows conversion of Microsoft PowerPoint presentations. The editing capabilities of the application have been extended and improved as well.
"Our aim is to offer the advanced user a high-quality application which remains transparent and easy to use despite its numerous functions," said Marcel Saffa, product manager. We hope that by releasing the new version we have made a step toward this objective."
The current process of digitalization has caused a boom in the sales of digital cameras and related products. The devices are becoming smaller and more powerful, and their quality improves rapidly. Resco spotted this trend about five years ago, when it started to develop its own viewer for the Windows Mobile Pocket PC platform. Currently, Resco Photo Viewer is the most popular Pocket PC-based photo viewer.
"Resco Photo Viewer is just another of the many successful applications made by Resco," said Hal Goldstein, executive editor and publisher of Pocket PC magazine. "It provides an excellent speed and photo display quality and a broad array of functions."
The latest version of Resco Photo Viewer can be found at the company's Web site, www.resco.net, where a 20 percent discount is currently being offered.
