I have a pocket pc with win 2002 on it. I have an sd memory card with 512 mb. I have a file on it, only 6kb large but I want to delete it and it won't budge. Are there any utilities that I can get to help me? I am especially interested in freebies, even if it only does this one task. Yes, yes, I know, a hammer will get rid of it too, but...don't you think that is a bit drastic?

Well, I may need some more information, but I'll try to see what I can do.
First off, what methods have you used to try and get rid of it already (just through the file manager, etc.)? Second, have you tried any third party file managers such as Resco Explorer (http://resco-net.com)? And third, can you tap and hold to get the files individual properties...it may be locked or read only.
Thanks! I have tried the file manager but not any third party stuff. I am new to the PDA world so don't know where to look for this. The properties screen says that the file is archived.
Try these: http://resco-net.com http://pocketgear.com http://handango.com
Just search for "File Manager" on PocketGear or Handango, and you'll have several to choose from. You can try them out, and try to get that file deleted. If it works and you like the application, then be a good person and slip the developer some $$$!!
Hope this helps!
You know...I am an obsessive compulsive person, so everytime I get involved in something always jump in feet first! I did this with photography and computers - more than 20 years ago...when I bought my pda I thought "now, at last I have a simple device that can be used without another indepth involvement...but now I am seeing that I was wrong ....but....I am happy about that! Three cheers to the O/C folks of the world!
