For all you HX4700 owners like myself i have just spotted on the IPAQ HQ site (thanks ipaqhq) that there is a Audio driver update now available.
What they say :-
Fixes issue with the potential for speaker damage from third-party audio applications that generate a very high-volume audio signal.
Fixes issue where the Microphone Automatic Gain Control (AGC) setting was not saved after a power cycle. You will find it here.
I personnaly have had to send my device back to HP to have my speaker replaced, because of this problem. But i still think its a great device
