Do pocket pc machines with 2002 support Unicode? I am having trouble getting a file with Chinese characters from a pc to work on my pocket pc. I am using the ms song font in my pc and my ppc. They are the same file. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't know where to begin.
There probably are several ways to do this for free. But if you are interested in being able to not only read but write Asian languages on your Pocket PC I can not recommend Effy 3.1 from the Korean company TimeSpace enough.
They have several different versions of their east Asian enabling software for English PPCs. I use the Eng/Jap version but they also offer Chinese and Korean languages (and even one version that offers all three).
The software will allow you to enable the language you want when you want to use it. It also offers a couple of nifty SIPs so you can enter text in that language as well as read documents or web pages. Fonts are included with the install package - just make sure you get the one with the language pack. The cost for the Eng/Chi version is $23.
You can find more information here. http://www.timespace21.com/eng/produ...iEng&os=Window
If you are planning to do any work in those languages it really is worth the investment.
