After putting the finishing touches on Achieve-IT! Beta 2 this weekend, I spent a goodly amount of time fiddling with my digital music. "Is WMA better than MP3? Do I need an equalizer? Should I try to insert a CD into my SD card slot?" But I digress. Anyway, Nero has released a beta of their own music and movie viewer - Showtime Mobile. General Features
• Enables playback of Nero Digital™ content on mobile/portable devices

• Support for a wide range of multimedia content (MP3, WAV)
• Portrait and Landscape views for video playback, support for view rotation and full screen playback
• Support for UPnP™ and remote file playback/streaming

I tried it and couldnt get anywhere with it. I produced a nero digital mp4 file from a dvd that i own and got it down to about 100mb
When i tried to play it on the PPC i was getting like 1 frame a second.
It is an Orange SPVM2000 which has a 400mhz processor and is one of the fastest PPC available i think at the moment.
What exactly can i expect to get performance wise? Nero's blurb seems to imply you can watch good quality nero digital video. Do I need to do anything special in the encode. You seem to have had some success.
Something definatly Sounds screwy with 1 frame a second! I would contact tech support. But, my first impression is maybe you encoded too much screen space like 640x480 and maybe too many frames per second.
