Help for a Newbie! My File explorer is locking up

1. I have a toshiba genio e550g with ppc 2002. I think it has the 400 mhz processor. I have been playing around with it a lot lately trying to learn more about it. I have done something pretty stupid - I don't know the degree of stupidity involved. Maybe you can help tell me?
When I use the file explorer now to do even a simple thing like deleting a file - only 80 kb - the file explorer locks up. The round dial comes on and just spins and spins and spins. Finally I have to just shut down the file explorer and the pda tells me that the program is not responding. This language sounds all too familiar because I am a Windows user...but I don't know what to do with a pocket pc.
2. Also, can someone out there recommend a good book to help me learn how to work on this little critter?
3. Does someone know of any free Truetype fonts that will support Chinese that can be used on the ppc?
thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi, I modded this question up to the front page in case other people had some ideas. The long delete cycle you are describing definately doesn't sound right. But first, have you soft reset your device?
If you have, are the files you are trying to delete on a storage card? The card may need to be scanned for errors. You can use a memory card reader in your PC to use typical windows software to scan/repair it.
Books? There is one called How to do everything with your Pocket PC which would be a good place to start. eh-hem, PPC Addict is listed as a good resource in that book too..
I am not sure about the free Chinese fonts tho.
Anyone else?

Hi, my O2 got the same problem with Pengyou. I tried to install some new games on it. After installing and deleting some programs, each time when I want to delete a file (even a small one) the File Explorer does not respond. The circle spins over and over again.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

This may not help, but it's worth a shot. Have you tried using a third-party file explorer like Resco Explorer 2005? Let me know if you still have problems even after using a program like this.
