I have read the thread over at Brighthand-HX4700 forums regarding the adverse affect on system performance that too many plugins can have.
I searched for a Today "Plugin manager" type of program (freeware?), so that at any given time I could see a list of Today Plugins actually loaded.
I'm not talking the ones you see in the Settings>>Today>>Items screen; those are obvious and readily manageable. Moreso, the ones installed by 3rd party apps, and those which you may not be able to control after installing the app. Those seem to be the real hogs.
My main problem is I don't know how to manage them. Is there an app out there that can do this or is this something that I have dig around for on my ppc?
Any feedback is appreciated.
Wow. You can see tumbleweeds blowing through this thread!
Hello? Anybody there? OK, I did find a little juicy nugget on this.
No Plugins Today 1.0 is a freeware app that kinda' does what I was looking for. It disables all running plugins on your pocket pc. Works like a charm.
Still, I wish it could allow me to see all the plugins enabled, and pick which ones to turn off, and which to leave on. I guess Carlin said it best, you can't have it all, where would you put it? http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=684
Sorry, life's been a bit crazy lately. You can go to start/settings/today/items and the plugins with checkmarks are loaded and running. You can check and uncheck to your hearts content.
