Speaking of using your voice to get work done on your Pocket PC, Vito Technology just announced an update to their VoiceDialer application for Pocket PC. The idea behind this software is instead of pointing and tapping while you are driving down the road at 75 miles an hour, you can simply push a button on the Pocket PC say your friend's name and it'll take care of the rest of the dialing procedure. It is meant to work with your existing contacts.
If you've ever tried scrolling through to find a certain contact while on the road, an app like this might make some sense. "VITO Technology announces new VITO VoiceDialer: a voice recognition and dialing software for Pocket PC. Supporting all Pocket PC devices (including Phone Edition), VoiceDialer is capable of recognizing the commands even in poor conditions.
Unlike many other voice dialing software, VoiceDialer allows recording the commands by the user. Thus, its recognition abilities are not limited by only English language: in fact, you can record any sound for dialing a contact, even your dog’s barking!
VITO VoiceDialer is highly integrated with standard Contacts. You can record new voice tags directly from the Contacts, or choose existing entries in the program’s settings. Voice tags can be assigned not only to the contacts’ names, rather to single phone numbers as well. "
