Yame invisible toolbar

What does it mean when a program looks like this?:

After it finishes loading, the toolbar becomes invisible, there should be a few menus at the top:

I'm running Yame ARM version on my Dell Axim X50v, it's one of the few SNES emulators that I can get to work on my Axim (If you know of one that works please, please let me know)
I can still load roms because I associated them with yame, but I'd like to be able to access the settings.

Look at this thread on Aximsite. Someone on there has modified pocketsnes specifically for the X50v. I don't game but they are saying it works well.
