here is a pretty cool idea, if you use a lot of notes and have to constantly update them on your desktop machine. A new free application/web site/WAP enabled access location called Sync Notes is built on a very interesting concept. What Sync Notes is is a small application that sits on your desktop waiting for you to create a note from there the note is copied to your account on the Sync Notes web site.
Once it's on the site, of course, you'll be able to access it from anywhere including your Pocket PC. The changes you make from your device sync to your desktop as well- immediately.
For anyone who is interested. There is also a review of it on lockergnome.
Hi, I am from the SyncNotes team, and couldnt resist giving out some inside information, seeing SyncNotes on PPC Adict!
We are going to be soon coming out with a Pocket PC version of the SyncNotes client. Thisway you wont have to use the WAP/XHTML interface to access your notes on the pocketPC. It will Sync With the SyncNotes Server just like the windows client.
Oh and this app is also, just like the other client, going to be completely free! So keep checking back, its going to be out soon!
Sure i will. We are working hard on it, and would love to see it get popular. Although it will not be a replacement to other note software such as Resco stickies etc, cuz it wont support scribble notes in the first version. This is because the SyncNotes System concentrates on "snippets of text" as its focus point, hence Syncning scribble or image notes wont be possible yet.
The prime focus of SyncNotes is to have your small textual information available to you all the time and on any device. A midlet version for J2ME enabled phones and a MS smartphone version are planned too.
